Irish EV Sales – September 2021

Irish EV Sales – September 2021

September was another successful month for EV registrations in Ireland, with 17.5% market share for BEVs (775 registrations) and 11.6% market share for PHEVs (415 registrations). The Tesla Model 3 registrations resumed, placing it in the lead for the month, as it is often for the last month of each quarter. It is 4th to date, with the Volkswagen ID.4 and ID.3 clearly leading, ahead of the Kia Niro. New this month is the Ford Mustang Mach-E. 346 used BEVs/PHEVs are to be added to this total. Used EV imports are suffering from Brexit, but not as much as ICE do.
