Irish EV Registrations – August 2023

Plug-in vehicles accounted for a third (34.4%) of all new cars registered in August, comprised of:

  • 1,774 (21.8%) BEVs, and;
  • 1,022 (12.6%) PHEVs.

Additional registrations from used imports in August, which both increased from July, accounted for a further:

  • 205 BEVs, and;
  • 400 PHEVs.

The top-3 registered new BEVs in August were the:

  1. Tesla Model 3
  2. MG MG4
  3. Volkswagen ID.4
