IEVOA calls on government to lean into EVs for new ministerial cars

According to RTÉ and other news outlets, government ministers are to be issued with increased security as well as newly issued “luxury” cars.

While a need for increased security is of concern to any citizen, the replacement or expansion of a fleet of vehicles for use by public representatives provides an opportunity for true leadership.

The Irish EV Owners Association is unfamiliar with the plans for what cars will be deployed by the government, but would call on those in leadership positions to choose EVs. These cars should show leadership to the Irish market that our own ministers are taking environmental, sustainability and modern technology seriously when making critical investment decisions like this.

Moreover, if anyone involved in the purchasing and decision-making process would like some advice, feel free to browse our own Ownership & Advice section, our Facebook Group or contact us directly by email.
