Government consultation on EV infrastructure strategy

Government consultation on EV infrastructure strategy

The Irish government’s Department of Transport has opened the public consultation phase for their 2025 EV infrastructure strategy. We would encourage all members to take a look and give their input before the closing deadline of May 31st.

In the coming days, we will publish our own response following deep dives into the document itself as well as conversation with folks within the DoT. When submitting your proposals and comments, we would encourage you to mention IEVOA’s response, which will be with the department in writing in the coming days, and published here on our site for reference.

Our bottom-line is that the document is insufficient given the timelines projected, and that we believe that every EV owner has a fundamental right to charge in Ireland. Without queues, with pricing transparency and with ease.
