eCars recently posted that due to ESB’s partnership with Applegreen coming to an end, the ESB fast (50kW) chargers located at the following service stations will be removed in the coming days:
Louth: Castlebellingham (North & Southbound) – Due to be removed August 1st
Dublin: Lusk (North & Southbound) – Due to be removed August 1st
Kildare: Enfield (East & Westbound) – Due to be removed August 8th
Once the chargers have been disconnected they will be removed from the charge point map and the ‘ecar connect’ app.
At these AppleGreen stations, Applegreen Electric has placed their own chargers. You can either download and pay through their AG Electric app, or tap and charge.

Dublin: Lusk (North & Southbound) – 1 DC CCS(60kW)/Chademo(60kW) unit is live on each side
Kildare: Enfield (East & Westbound) – 1 DC CCS(180kW)/Chademo (100kW)unit is live on each side
Applegreen is growing it’s charge point infrastructure at their sites.

6. Rathcoole, 2 CCS 120kW, 2CCS 60kW
7. Ballymount, 2 CCS 120kW, 2CCS 60kW
8. Castlebellingham (Northbound) – 1 DC CCS(180kW), 1 Chademo (100kW)
9. Castlebellingham (Southbound) – 2 DC CCS(180kW)
