On Thursday the 27th of March we had the pleasure of attending the second 'Business Post Electric Vehicle Awards' at The Round Room at Mansion House, Dublin. These awards showcase and honour the outstanding contributions across Ireland’s EV sector. We came away with a sentiment of their being huge enthusiasm for the electric mobility shift we are in, there is a lot of people working in this space trying to bring about more vehicles, more charging and better solutions.
The Business Post Electric Vehicle Awards are in association with M&M Contractors, and we were extremely privileged to be seated with the team (some of the best seats in the house!) - we had a fantastic night with the team. But that's not to forget the many others in attendance, including a number of our Corporate Sponsors, many of whom were nominated for an award, and some even won! But we'll come to that in a moment. A huge congratulations to the team from the Business Post on such a great evening, and a massive thank you to M&M Contractors for all of their hospitality!
For the two years it's been running, our Chairperson Matthew Sealy has been one of the judges of a number of the award categories. But, it is a team effort and entails much debate as to who wins on the day, and so we wish to acknowledge the other judges for 2025 too: Aoife O'Grady, Blake Boland, Brian Caulfield, Emer Barry, Grainne Timlin, Paddy Comyn and Shane O'Donoghue. And with that, let's get to the 2025 Winners! (Shameless screengrabs from ev-awards.ie 2025 Winners as they have done a very nice job of it!)

Finally, it wouldn't be an IEVA update without a photo of some of the committee members in attendance. Below we have Thomas McGuire, Matthew Sealy and Carl Coates (not in this photo is Blake Boland who was also there on the night). You can check out all of the official photos of the night here by Maura Hickey, we're not sharing the ones we took ;)
